Bio (anglais)
Katalin Roman is from Hungary and has lived in Brussels since 2018.
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in dance pedagogy and has many years of experience as a dance teacher. She became a certified TRE® provider in 2022.
Motivation
Katalin has always found that movement and music help people self-liberate and release tension, stress and express emotion.
She has been studying dance therapy during her master’s degree, and as a TRE ® provider, her long-term intention is to find the synergies between the two.
When she first encountered TRE®, she fell in love with it immediately. It is a simple yet effective method based on our body, and it uses our natural stress-releasing capabilities to let go of stress, tensions, and frustrations.

How
Katalin Roman offers individual TRE ® sessions in English or Hungarian in Brussels (Belgium).
The session takes around 60 minutes for the first time and then around 50 minutes for the 2nd session, depending on the client’s needs.
It consists of a few exercises which help activate specific muscles and a floor part where the release happens.

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.
Les exercices de libération de tension et de traumatisme (TRE®) sont une série d’exercices simples mais innovants qui aident le corps à libérer les schémas musculaires profonds de stress, de tension et de traumatisme.
Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE® safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.
When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return to a state of balance.
The therapeutic muscle tremors evoked by the TRE exercise process is a natural, internal, neuro-physiological response of the body to reduce its stress and restore a sense of well-being.
TRE® is a safe and effective stress-release technique for most people.
The TRE process should not be used as a medical or psychological substitute for trauma recovery procedures.
